Thank you for your interest in running for Refuge in the
Adidas Women’s 5k Challenge!

Since opening the world’s first refuge for women and children in Chiswick in 1971, Refuge has been at the forefront of the battle against domestic violence. Sadly, as one woman in four will experience domestic violence at some point in her lifetime, it is likely that we all know someone who has been, or will be, affected. Refuge makes an immesurable difference to these women and their children, supporting more than 1,000 women and children on any given day to escape violence and build a safe and positive future.

Running for Refuge in the Adidas Women’s 5k Challenge is a fantastic way not only to have a fun day out with the girls, but also to make a real difference to women and children who have experienced domestic violence. The funds that you raise will help us to provide vital services, including safe emergency accommodation, individual and group counselling, and community based outreach services, which enable women and children who have experienced the horror of domestic violence to rebuild their lives.

All Refuge runners will receive:

  • Free team t-shirt
  • Personalised online fundraising page
  • A training plan to help you become fully prepared for race day
  • Sponsorship pack and forms, as well as fundraising support to help you reach (and hopefully smash!) your goal
  • Support every step of the way

Apply for your place online at www.womenschallenge.co.uk. Please remember to select Refuge from the drop down menu in order to donate £5 of your registration fee to us.
